Reproductive Freedom

I trust women to do what’s right for themselves, their bodies, and their families. The decision to have an abortion is a deeply personal one, which should be made between a woman and her doctor without government interference.

As a member of the Democratic Women’s Caucus and the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, I am proud to support legislation that would establish a federal statutory right to reproductive health care, including abortion care. I have also successfully fought back against unjust restrictions to reproductive health care for military servicemembers and veterans.

Women’s reproductive health care is under attack across the country. The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has had devastating consequences and undermined nearly fifty years of precedent and protections for women. I fundamentally disagree with the Court’s ruling, and I strongly support efforts to reinstate the protections that Roe provided.

Every person deserves autonomy over their body and their health care decisions. Reproductive health care should be no different, regardless of where you live in the country.
