Our District

Oregon’s Sixth Congressional District sits at the heart of the Willamette Valley – a beautiful and diverse region that feels like a microcosm of our state. Farming and agriculture are vital to our district’s economy and a wide variety of crops are grown right here – from hazelnuts and blueberries to wheat and grass seed. The Willamette Valley is Oregon’s oldest and most famous wine region, with the perfect soil and climate to grow world-class pinot grapes. We are home to hundreds of wineries for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Our district is also a manufacturing hub – with thriving industries like timber, semiconductors, and high-tech research. Encompassing parts of the Portland metro area and the state capital, Salem, the health care, education, and government administration sectors are critical and contribute thousands of jobs to Oregon’s economy.
