In her speech, she warned of the growing mental health care crisis in rural America, highlighting how recent Republican cuts to Medicaid have stripped many communities of their primary source of care.

Today, Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (OR-06), alongside Representative Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03), Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), and Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), led 52 of their colleagues in sending a letter to Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz expressing concern that the current public comment period for their proposal to repeal the Roadless Rule does not allow for meaningful public participation and urging them to extend the public comment period by 30 days.

Today, Congresswomen Andrea Salinas (OR-06) visited the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland to question ICE officials and hold them accountable for their detention and treatment of her constituents as well as to exert her congressional authority to conduct oversight of ICE facilities.
