My top priority in Congress is lowering your cost of living and making life more affordable for you and your family.

If President Trump and Congressional Republicans continue to stonewall, insurance premiums will spike because of expiring health care tax credits. The tax credits make a doctor’s visit, care after an accident, and life-saving medications affordable for millions of Americans across the country. 

Without these tax credits, which will expire on January 1st, 2026, if Republicans refuse to take action, more than 16,000 people across Oregon’s Sixth District will be forced to pay hundreds or thousands more for their health care premiums each month. Americans cannot afford this extreme price hike on health care, and if Congress does not extend the tax credits, millions of Americans will lose their insurance coverage. I am working alongside my Democratic colleagues in Congress to permanently extend these tax credits so hardworking families will not have to face impossible choices like paying for their health care or paying for their groceries.
