Salinas Statement on Passage of Security Assistance Bills

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Andrea Salinas (OR-06) issued the following statement after voting to send additional security assistance to our allies in Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific region:

“In the face of unprecedented attacks on democracy around the globe, I proudly voted to send additional security assistance to our allies in Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific region. The United States has a duty to stand up for those who share our values and to stand up to tyrants and terrorism. I am grateful that we could come together to fulfill that obligation to our allies in need. At the same time, I am pleased that we were able to approve additional humanitarian aid for the children and families who are suffering in Gaza right now. This legislation will both protect civilian lives and ensure that our allies can defend themselves from threats, and I urge the Senate to pass these bills without delay."
