Congresswoman Salinas Seeks Submissions for Women’s History Month Speech

Today, on International Women’s Day, Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (D-Tigard) announced that she would celebrate Women’s History Month by highlighting phenomenal women in Oregon’s sixth district in a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives later this month.

“This Women's History Month, I want to shine a spotlight on the everyday heroes who live in our community,” said Rep. Salinas. “Oregon’s sixth district is made whole by the incredible women who call it home and contribute to it in so many ways. And it would be my honor to tell some of those stories on the floor of the House of Representatives.”

Residents of Oregon’s sixth district who wish to be considered or submit a woman for consideration should fill out this form no later than March 22, 2023. Due to the high volume of interest, Congresswoman Salinas will not be able to include all submissions in her speech.
