Congresswoman Salinas Cosponsors the PRO Act

Today, Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (D-Tigard) issued the following statement on the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act:

“A good union job was my family's pathway out of poverty and into the middle class. I believe everyone in Oregon and across the country deserves that same chance – that's why I'm proud to be an original cosponsor of the bipartisan Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. Named for one of the greatest labor leaders of our time, this legislation protects Oregonians' fundamental right to join a union and would, in turn, help rebuild our middle class after so many years of erosion. I want to thank my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for their dogged work on this bill, and I look forward to fighting with all I have to see it across the finish line.”
