Oregon ‘Rosie the Riveter’ receives congressional honor for WWII service

On April 13, 2024, KOIN 6 News wrote about Rep. Andrea Salinas' (D-Tigard) meeting with 102-year-old Independence resident and real-life "Rosie the Riveter" Clarice Lafreniere, who was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for her service during World War II.
