Internships
The Office of Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (D-OR06) is seeking candidates for a part-time (10-15 hours a week, 10-12 weeks) summer internship in our Oregon district offices (Salem and Tualatin). The preferred start date of this internship is mid-June to late August, but can be flexible.
District Interns will assist the outreach staff and caseworkers, research local and national policy issues, help with constituent communication through mail and phone calls, and can attend events and meetings in the district with the Congresswoman and staff.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak courteously with constituents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and eagerness to go above and beyond
- Professionalism and demonstrated interest in public service
- OR-06 ties are preferred, but not required
Compensation information:
- This is a compensated position. Academic credit may be available and should be arranged with your academic institution.
